Depending on your project and how many windows you have to furnish, the design phase could range from a few days to several weeks, depending on your specific requirements. The design phase involves selecting the type of window covering, fabrics and colours. Once the design is finalised, a check measure will need to be done to ensure correct measurements. Installers can sometimes be booked out 2 weeks in advance, so this is necessary to be taken into consideration.

Determine whether you want your curtains to be mounted on the ceiling or wall. This decision affects the measurement process. However, we do recommend you get both measurements in case you change your mind after the fact.

For the width measurement, measure the distance between the desired endpoints, such as from one architrave to the other or beyond if you want the curtains to extend beyond the window. Adding an additional 20-30% to this width measurement will account for stack back, depending on the heading style you choose. Stack back refers to the space required for the curtains to stack or gather when open. However, you can adjust the percentage based on your chosen heading style and the desired fullness of the curtains.

For the drop measurement, measure the distance from the ceiling to floor. For wall mount, measure from the top of the curtain track/rod or the desired starting point to the floor.

Remember to consider any obstructions, such as furniture or radiators, that may affect the curtain length or width.

When measuring for Roman blinds, it's essential to consider your specific needs and preferences, including whether you want the blinds to be installed in the reveal or wall/ceiling-mounted.

For a reveal measurement, measure the width inside the window reveal from one side to the other at the top, middle, and bottom. Take the smallest width measurement as your final width to ensure the blind fits within the reveal. Measure the height inside the reveal from the top to the bottom at the left, centre, and right sides. Take the longest height measurement as your final height to ensure adequate coverage.

For a face fit or ceiling fix measurement, measure the width from architrave to architrave. Measure the height from the top edge of the coverage area to the desired endpoint, such as the windowsill or bottom of the window.

Take note of any obstructions, such as handles or window locks, that may affect the blind's operation or installation.

Also keep in mind the stack height: If the Roman blinds are raised completely, they will create a stack at the top – which can vary between 23cm-28cm. Consider the stack height and ensure there is enough clearance above the window to accommodate it or the window is big enough that the stack will not compromise your view or natural light.

When measuring for roller blinds, it's essential to consider your specific needs and preferences, including whether you want the blinds to be installed in the
reveal or wall/ceiling-mounted.

Depending on your needs and preferences, you can measure from the architrave to the architrave to the window and add 20-30% for stack back or if you are wanting full wall-wall coverage you can measure from one side to the other. We will make all the relevant deductions.

Yes, we can line ALL our curtains even sheers with attached lining. We can also add interlining, which is a 3rd soft middle layer for added fullness & insulation. Or they can simply be unlined. Select your preference from the option to add lining. Also, the ONLY acrylic backed fabric we have is our 100% blockout lining. Aside from this ALL our fabrics are chemical & acrylic free, so they won't crack or turn to dust a decade later.

Yes, we can make ALL our designs into double curtains. It's simple, buy 2 sets of curtains in any combination you want, and order from our double rod/track options.

Yes S-Fold is offered as a heading style for ALL our fabrics. Some fabrics suit S-Fold better than others, speak to our design specialist for expert advice if the perfect wave fold is important to you.

We offer various header styles. Our most popular are Inverted Box Pleat, Casual Wave, Double Pinch Pleat, Triple Pinch Pleat, Euro Double Pinch and S-Fold. We can also do Rod Pocket, Tab Top and Eyelet/Ring Top.

We have 3 curtain length options, no puddle, kissing and a puddle. No puddle is a functional option for high traffic areas. The curtain should just touch the floor or sit 1.5cm above the floor. Kissing is ideal for uneven floors and creates a more formal look. The curtain should rest approx. 2.5cm on the floor. Puddling adds extra length to your curtains providing opulence and style. Add 5-15cm for drama, 15-25cm is best on non-functional panels, and 35cm is the maximum recommended puddle to add that extra drama.

Absolutely! Lining a sheer curtain can add privacy, insulation, and a more finished look to your windows.

We have 3 lining types: blockout, cotton, triple weave and interlining.

Blockout lining: This type of lining is made from a heavy, opaque fabric that blocks out all light. It is a good option for bedrooms or areas where you require complete darkness.

Triple weave lining:
This type of lining is made from three layers of fabric, which provides better insulation and noise reduction than a single layer of fabric. It is a good option for rooms that need extra privacy or soundproofing.

Cotton lining: This type of lining is made from a lightweight, breathable fabric that allows some light to filter through. It is a good option for living rooms or dining rooms where you want some privacy but still want to let in natural light. You can choose from lightweight or heavy cotton lining.

Interlining: This type of lining
is made from a lightweight, non-woven fabric that is used to add body and weight to sheer curtains. It is a good option for sheer curtains that are too sheer or lightweight.

We offer Roman blinds and roller blinds. The main difference between Roman blinds and roller blinds is the way they fold up and the different fabrics they are made of. Roman blinds fold up in pleats, while roller blinds roll up into a cylinder. Our Roman blinds are made from soft fabrics rather than roller blinds that are made of a canvas, which gives them a more formal look.

There are 3 control mechanism options: manual control, cordless control and automatic control. Manual control is the most basic type of control mechanism, and can be achieved using a pull cord or chain. Cordless control is a more convenient option than manual control, and it is becoming increasingly popular. Cordless control mechanisms can be activated using a remote control, a wall switch, or a motion sensor. Automatic control is the most sophisticated type of control mechanism, and it is typically used for Roman and roller blinds that are large or located in hard-to-reach areas. Automatic control mechanisms can be programmed to open and close the blinds at specific times, or they can be activated by a variety of sensors, such as light sensors or motion sensors.
